You're here now. Good.

Help them find me.

EDIT 10/20/2023: I've been uploading patches (many of them the day it was released, oops) to fix minor bugs and typos and such, and I think with v6, that's the last of them. Let me know if there's anything I missed; I tried to account for everything, but I've looked over this code so many times now, I'm bound to have still missed stuff, haha. Thanks!

Part of my story Somewhere Else, a Stanley Parable fanfiction exploring what happens after Stanley and the Narrator escape into the real world. Reading that is required to understand the game.

Characters and setting by Crowsx3, any dialogue recognized written by Davey Wreden.

Enjoy!

having the same problem with narrator resetting every time you get to the confusion ending despite having talked with curator, but otherwise i am devouring this this is so cool

Yup, turns out there was a glitch on my end id missed, hahs. Fixed that though, should be working now. Thanks!

just wanted to let you know that while playing it wouldn't let me go through with the confusion ending for the last bit and was instead just used the curator's text and had me restart at the very beginning. also at one point it glitched out and had both the text and the options for the narrator being with you physically and without him being there physically, and after a normal reset it would start with the variant of him being there then continue with him not being there. kinda reminded me of when my computer was overheating while playing tsp and the triggers and collisions got all fucked up (which, admittedly, was very cool to see). VERY glad it was all in the ao3 chapter lmao
anyway besides that, absolutely ADORE 432's backstory here. Definitely the best one I've seen, it's amazing

Hey! Regarding the confusion ending thing, turns out there were a couple glitches id managed to miss, whoops! Fixed it and reuploaded, so that should work fine now. Thanks!! I will continue poking the code to see if it was something else triggering the other glitch though, thanks for letting me know!

Regarding the second glitch: do you remember what part of the game/ending/route it was happening on?

i think it was en route to confusion. like right after i was done talking to curator and about to go along with the confusion ending. because of this, at first, i thought it could have been intentional lmao. it could be fixed with the whole confusion ending being fixed now but yeah i'd double check to make sure

This is awesome! The twists, the turns, the backtracks that function as an actual puzzle. I love it!

I'm having trouble getting the confusion ending to work, even with all the variables in place. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or not.

I did not expect to click on the most recent tab of itch today and lose my mind over Stanley Parable fan fiction for 30 minutes, and still not beat the game??? This thing is a monster

HAHA, wow, yeah thats quite the experience. Kudos to you for giving it a shot without the context of the rest of the story! I packed a lot of stuff in it for people to explore, that doesnt have much if anything to do with the route encouraged by the story. Hope you're having fun!
